We believe great food is a non-negotiable part of an enjoyable resort experience. That means generous flavour, consistent quality and enough variety for every guest to find something they genuinely enjoy.

Our kitchen serves a freshly prepared à la carte menu of local and international dishes, with our chef bringing together Burundian flavours, global influences and fresh, homemade ingredients. Guests can also choose half-board or full-board options for a more complete dining experience throughout their stay.

We cater for vegetarian guests, food allergies and other dietary requirements. Please let us know in advance.

Some evenings have a character of their own, including our signature Saturday Mongolian Dinner. From midday until late, the bar serves refreshing drinks, classic favourites and contemporary cocktails, best enjoyed on the terrace as the sun sets behind the mountains of Congo.

In-room dining

Dinner served where you are staying

Room service is available to resident guests for KSh 1,000, for anyone who would rather eat in the privacy of their own villa, bungalow or tent.

Some of our villas have their own dining pavilion or terrace above the water, so a table can be laid where you are staying rather than in the restaurant. Ask at reception and we will arrange it.

For our guests

When we serve, and what is included

Dining at Sunstone Beach is for guests staying with us. Everything below is arranged as part of your stay, with nothing to book separately.

Please note that self-catering is not available. All meals and drinks are served from the resort kitchen and bar, and guests are kindly asked not to bring food or drink from outside.

Opening hours

Breakfast is served daily from 06:30 to 10:30, and the restaurant stays open for à la carte dining through the day until 23:00. The bar opens from midday until late.

Breakfast is included in every accommodation rate. Half-board and full-board can be added for the length of your stay if you would rather have your meals settled in advance.
